first spring cleaning gear swap at Estes Park Mountain Shop

April 22, 9 AM - 1 PM | Cleaning out the garage and don't know what to do with your used sporting goods, outdoor gear and apparel? Bring it down to the Estes Park Mountain Shop for our first Spring Cleaning Gear Swap. Make some money and help support the Stanley Bike Park.

All useable sports equipment, outdoor gear and apparel is welcome! All items must be in good condition. You set the purchase price for your items. No firearms. Gear can be dropped off Friday from 4-7 pm or Saturday from 7-8:30 am. Sales are cash only. Unsold items must be picked up by 2 pm on Saturday. Items not claimed by the deadline will be donated to the Elizabeth Guild.

leif whittaker presentation spring 2017

April 28, 7 PM | Join us for a night of adventure as Leif Whittaker, son of Jim Whittaker, presents on his memoir My Old Man and the Mountain, an engaging and humorous story of what it was like to “grow up Whittaker" in an extended family of accomplished climbers. Become wrapped up in a unique coming of age tale on the steep slopes of Everest, and a climbing adventure that lights the imagination and fills an emotional human endeavor with universal meaning.

Refreshments will be provided. Q&A and book signing with Leif following presentation. Special appearance by legendary local mountaineer Tom Hornbein.

Admission: $10 suggested donation with all proceeds benefitting The Juniper Fund.
